Who we are

We’re a group of people with a shared goal of restoring and conserving native habitat in North America. Like the native grasses of the great American Prairie, our roots run deep in this country. We strive to see everything at its fullest potential - ourselves, our families, our businesses…and our landscapes. We have a vision. That vision is a landscape covered in native plant and animal species.

What we do

We have two core pillars at the Habitat Association: Education and Implementation

We strive to educate people on the value of our native ecosystems and how to preserve them. We do this by producing informative videos, hosting events and leading boots-on-the ground habitat projects designed to promote native habitat and reduce invasive species. We work on both private and public lands, educating people on the benefits of native species and empowering them to transform their own landscape for generations to come.

But talk is cheap. Education can only go so far before the real work begins. As a group, we were raised to value hard work and commitment. We not only practice the methods we preach, but also work with carefully selected professional crews across the country to maximize our reach across the landscape.

How we do it

We take donations from committed individuals like you that share our passion for healthy habitat and deploy those funds to select projects across the country. These projects could include invasive species removal, prescribed fire, timber stand improvement, native seed plantings and so much more. We also raise awareness about properties and landscapes that may be in danger of being wiped out entirely. Our goal is always to get the most value out of every dollar we raise, and our group feels a huge sense of responsibility to do so.

How you can help

There are many ways you can help. First, subscribe to our YouTube channel and consume our educational content. We produce these to empower you to make a difference, whether you have access to one acre or one thousand. Second, make a donation. Again, whether it’s one or one thousand, every dollar we raise is going to help us make a difference. Finally, take action. Implement a project you learned about on our website or watched us do in a video. There are few things as satisfying as sitting back and gazing over a landscape that you helped to improve for decades to come.
